Chhattisgarh is Shining

More than nine Indian cement companies has shown interest in investing a total of Rs.57.1 billion to set up nine cement plants in Chhattisgarh. The state government has signed separate memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with nine cement companies for setting up nine cement units with a total investment of Rs.57.1 billion.
UltraTech Cement Ltd will pump in Rs.11 billion, Shyam Century Infrastructure Ltd will invest Rs.5.5 billion, Adhunik Corporation Rs.7 billion, Aryan Ispat and Power Ltd Rs.5 billion, Bajrang Metallics and Power Ltd Rs.7.35 billion, Jayprakash Associates Ltd Rs.10.5 billion, Kasturi Cement Pvt. Ltd Rs.1.5 billion.
A dozen of more cement majors have lined up to invest in the state and the government will soon take a decision on these projects. There are more power projects also coming up in the state and other projects from different sigment of the industries are also having their activity in line.

In near future the total production of cement in India will jump in multibillion tones.

Bharat Heavy Electricals is Heading to Singur

BHEL has shown interest in setting up a power plant at Singur in West Bengal as officials has visited the site recently along with West Bengal power Development Corporation and state government officials. A report on possible project is likely to be given soon. There is a consideration of Two projects coming up, one is of Power Equipment and another is Thermal Power Plant with the capacity of 1600 MW.
Earlier at the same place, Tata’s Nano project was proposed and was afterward shifted to Gujarat because of protest from Political Party Trinamool Congress.

Moser Baer New Project

Moser Baer a leading manufacturer of optical storage devices is implementing a solar PV films manufacturing unit near Chennai in Tamilnadu . The unit is to manufacture thin films and will be implemented at with an investment of around Rs.20,000 million. As of April 2009, civil works are in progress. The unit is expected to be commissioned by end of 2009 or first quarter of 2010.

Automobile Revolution in India
In early days we use to see only two models on Indian roads one is Premier and another is Ambassador. In last one an a half decade we have seen a automobile revolution, many companies with countless Models. It is still not coming to the end as one or other company launches its new model every now and then. Tata launches Nano, M&M and others are also coming up two or four wheelers.
Now recently Dubai based Ultimate Motors decides to launch three brands of super Hyper cars namely Shelby, Zenbo and Arash by the end of this year in India.One of the model namely Ultimate Aero having 1,183 hourse power and speed of 413 kilometres/hr is worlds fastest car with many luxuary features in it.
If we look at the Indian Roads, it is not in condition to run even a bullock cart on high speed. Indian government is taking every step to improve that, but the curruption is not allowing which is inside the system. Let us wait and watch the next sceneario. Probably due to heavy traffic people may prefer Bicycle to reach their distination on time.

LNG terminal at Dhabol in Maharashtra
India’s 3rd LNG terminal will be build at Dhabol in Maharashtra. Now the comissioning schedule of this is pushed. It will start operating early next year. The said terminal was earlier scheduled for commissioning in November 2009. The terminal will however become fully operational only after completion of break water facility in 2011. The cost involved in it is around 30,000 million.

Kolkata based Emami Group is entering in to Cement Sector:

Kolkata based Emami Group a fast moving consumer goods manufacturing company, is entering in to cement sector and plans to invest Rs 1,750 crore to set up production units in the next three years. The funds are to be to be arranged through a mix of internal accruals and debt.
The three projects are likely to have a 2.5:1 debt-equity ratio and the group's contribution will be Rs 500 crore.
Emami Cement will set up a fully integrated cement plant in Chhattisgarh with an installed capacity to produce 3.1 million tpa. The company has already acquired 400 acre in the state to start an integrated plant.
The company is also expected to set up two grinding units, one in Orissa with an annual capacity of 0.6 million tpa and another in West Bengal with 1.5 million.

Earlier due to the slowdown the response was not so good and I have seen the trade shows getting cancelled, because of poor response of participant. Earlier there were only few places where the shows were organized, but now the companies are taking interest in participating in to it in other parts of India Like Hyderabad, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Bangalore and even the shows are organized at a place like Karnal. It is a good sign for Indian economy. We can hope a batter tomorrow of our country.
